Here is an important announcement. I am not affiliated with Principles of Liberty, but I do support their cause. I recommend you participate if you have the day off!
My name is Chelsea Spencer, and I’m the Executive Director of an organization called Principles of Liberty!
The goal of Principles of Liberty (POL) is to refocus our political conversation on the questions “What is the role of government?” and “Are we executing that role effectively at the state legislature?” We advance that mission in three ways: we host training classes, publish weekly bill analyses during the legislative session, and publish legislator scorecards at the end of each legislative session.
We are hosting free POL training classes in Sheridan, Wyoming on Saturday, October 14th and Cheyenne, Wyoming on Saturday, October 21st. The goal of our classes is to help you develop and refine your understanding of the proper role of government, learn how to apply that understanding to policy, and give you the tools you need to participate in the state legislative process and influence public policy. In class we will discuss the role of government, helping you come to a better understanding of what you believe the role of government is and why, as well as explain how government works at the state level, our core principles and how we derived them, how we analyze legislation, and how anyone can utilize our work to impact public policy. We also explain our scorecard—what it is, and what it is not!
We have both legislators and citizens attend our classes, and we already have legislators who have RSVP’d for our upcoming class in Sheridan. RSVP’s are appreciated but not required.
